Company Rules
Create account-level company filters that lock, nurture, mark not fit, or reject prospects based on their current company.
What company rules do
Company rules let an account decide what should happen when a prospect works at a matched company. A rule can match a LinkedIn company URL or a company domain, then apply the same disposition every time a matching prospect enters the account.
Use them for account-based do-not-contact policies, customer or competitor filters, partner exclusions, and companies that should be watched but not contacted.
Create a rule
- Open Account Settings, then choose Company Rules under Current Account.
- Enter either a LinkedIn company URL, such as
https://www.linkedin.com/company/example, or a domain, such asexample.com. - Choose the disposition the account should apply when a matching prospect is found.
- Leave scope as Account for an account-wide rule, or choose User and select the account user when the rule should apply only to prospects assigned to that user.
- Add an internal note if the rule needs context, then save it.
Disposition choices
- Lock keeps the prospect in the account and blocks activity, so operators can track the person without allowing outbound action.
- Nurture moves the prospect to the account's inactive nurture state.
- Not fit moves the prospect to inactive with a not-fit reason.
- Reject rejects the prospect and places them in the account's rejected prospects system list.
When rules run
Rules run automatically when a person becomes an account prospect and when profile or company data is written later. This matters because a prospect may enter the account before enrichment has found their current company.
Do-not-contact checks run before company rules. If a prospect matches DNC, the DNC rejection wins and the company rule is not applied afterward.
Apply rules to existing prospects
New rules do not require waiting for the next import. On the Company Rules page, use Apply on one rule or Apply Active Rules to run all active rules against existing account prospects.
From the CLI, use audienti company-rules apply <rule_id> for one rule or audienti company-rules apply --all for every active rule in the selected account.
Use DNC for email-level suppression
Company rules are for company-level policy. Use the DNC settings when the suppression list is made of emails or profile URLs. The CLI can import those files with audienti dnc import --file dnc.csv.
